“I realized after 10 years of pulling wrenches, I needed change,” says John Guliker, a former mechanic, now a team leader at Royal Lepage South Country Lethbridge.
Guliker stepped into real estate six years ago when he found the daily grind as a mechanic exhausting. It was no longer enjoyable for him, so he decided to try something new. The career shift wasn’t difficult at all, he says. In fact, his passion for public speaking and customer service became his tool to build a robust career in real estate.
Success, says Guliker, is impossible to achieve without the people encouraging him along the way. “While working, I surround myself with those who are an encouragement to me,” he says. “Without all of these fine people, I don’t think I would be doing as good of a job as I am.”
