TORONTO, ONTARIO – September 25, 2019:  Sotheby’s International Realty Canada today announced the opening of a new office in Toronto, located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Leslieville.  This new high-profile location reflects the brand’s continued expansion in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada.

“Over the last decade, Leslieville has evolved from its light industrial roots to one of the most promising real estate markets in Toronto. It offers a strong and dynamic neighbourhood ‘brand’, unique architectural gems, and a broadening mix of housing options ranging from Second Empire row homes and Victorian semis, to lofts, condominiums and traditional detached homes,” says Don Kottick, President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada. “Leslieville is no longer an ‘emerging’ real estate market – it is one with significant upswing momentum, and was a clear frontrunner when Sotheby’s International Realty Canada sought to expand in the east-end.”

Led by Maureen O’Neill, Broker of Record of Ontario and Dianne Usher, Managing Broker, the office will serve a residential real estate market that has become one of the city’s  hottest neighbourhoods for arts, culture and real estate in the city, attracting artists, urban professionals and a new generation of young families and real estate consumers.

“Today’s homebuyers are increasingly looking for homes that offer more than traditional sensibilities.  Character, culture, diversity and walkability are some of the key factors defining Toronto’s most coveted neighbourhoods today, positioning Leslieville as a local market in which we have confidence for continued growth,” says Maureen O’Neill, Broker of Record of Ontario at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada.

“The opening of our new office in Leslieville enables us to strengthen our service to new and existing clients  in the neighbourhood and surrounding areas such The Beach, Riverdale, Riverside, Playter Estates, East York and the waterfront,” says Dianne User, Managing Broker for the Greater Toronto Area. “It also reflects Sotheby’s International Realty Canada’s continued commitment to growing to meet the needs of a new generation of real estate consumers.”
